Solution Architect

Mission

We are looking for a Hands-On Solution Architect to define the next generation of SmartBiometric solutions, combining IDEMIA biometric products with backend systems including cloud services and customer ecosystems. 

The Solution Architect will understand customer needs and use cases, define end-to-end architectures that are secure, scalable and reusable, lead and follow developments. 

As part of a permanent position based in Osny, you will join a multidisciplinary and international team of 70 people. 

Key Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into functional and technical solution architectures. 
• Design system solutions combining cloud services, biometric products, various components and customer systems with a strong focus on security, deployment, maintainability. 
• Design APIs, interfaces and data flows. 
• Identify gaps between existing product capabilities and solution needs and propose appropriate technical solutions. 
• Assess technical feasibility, performance, scalability, security and integration risks. 
• Produce architecture documentation and technical specifications. 
• Act as the technical reference for the solution and support Engineering teams during implementation. 
• Promote reuse, standardization and simplicity across SmartBio solutions. 

Required skills

• Engineering degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering. 
• At least 10 years of professional experience in software engineering. 
• Proficiency in programing languages (Java,.Net/C#, scripting language, Database, RBAC sytems,…)  
• Strong experience in solution or system architecture, security by design. 
• Good knowledge of cloud architectures, APIs and system integration. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to interact with other business lines and other R&Ds, translate business needs into technical solutions. 
• Good communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary, multicultural and international teams. 
• Fluent English.
