Our teams work from 5 continents and speak 100+ different languages. We strongly believe that our diversity is a key driver of innovation and performance.

Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Integration Engineer to join our Romania delivery team. You will bring together the software, infrastructure, databases and hardware that make up our customer solutions, ensuring the different components are deployed, configured and working together reliably.

This is a systems integration and deployment role with a strong Linux, Java application-server and DevSecOps focus. It is not a traditional manual or automation QA testing position. You will work on international projects, primarily across Europe, supporting solutions used by police and government organisations.

Requirements

  • Plan and carry out end-to-end system integration, installation, configuration, upgrades and technical validation for customer projects
  • Deploy and support Java/J2EE-based applications and middleware across Linux and associated Windows environments
  • Connect applications, services, databases and devices, understanding how components communicate through APIs and integration protocols
  • Troubleshoot complex issues using system logs, configuration analysis, diagnostics and collaboration with technical specialists
  • Use scripting, Jenkins and automation/orchestration tooling to improve repeatability and reliability of deployments
  • Perform integration-level checks covering interoperability, performance, resilience and security. Coordinate with dedicated functional test teams where required
  • Apply operational security controls, including certificate management, access/configuration requirements and remediation of findings
  • Prepare technical documentation and handovers, and support implementation activities at customer sites

Key Missions

  • Around 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems/application integration, deployment, middleware or a closely related DevOps role. Stronger experience is welcome
  • A technical education in computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical expertise
  • Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills, with hands-on shell/Bash or Python scripting
  • Experience installing, configuring and deploying enterprise Java/J2EE applications on application servers such as JBoss/WildFly or equivalent
  • Good understanding of system architecture, REST/SOAP services, APIs and integration between distributed components
  • Operational experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL, including configuration, administration and troubleshooting
  • Exposure to CI/CD practices and Jenkins, and familiarity with virtualised or containerised environments
  • Practical awareness of security principles, particularly PKI, certificates and secure system configuration
  • Confidence working in complex, regulated customer environments, with the ability to investigate problems across multiple technologies and communicate effectively in English

Additional Experience That Would Be Useful

  • Ansible, Terraform, Docker, VMware, OpenStack, Maven/Nexus or messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or WebSphere MQ
  • Windows Server/Active Directory integration; Oracle/PostgreSQL administration depth; or other enterprise database platforms
  • Integration-level validation tools such as SoapUI, SOAtest or JMeter, plus Jira/TestLink
  • Exposure to IAM, SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning or related operational security tools
  • Experience delivering on-premise/private-cloud systems for government, identity, public-safety or other highly regulated customers

Additional Information

  • Location: Bucharest, with a hybrid pattern of 2-3 days per week in the office
  • Travel: Up to approximately 15–20%, largely to customer sites in Europe. Some deployment periods may involve one- or two-week visits
  • Our solutions combine established and newer technologies. This position is best suited to someone who enjoys complex integration and hands-on delivery, rather than a cloud-only or software-testing role
