Senior Functional Analyst

Purpose
We are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to join our Proofing Teams within the Digital Identity domain. You will define, analyse, challenge and document functional requirements for Identity Proofing & Verification solutions.
Acting as the bridge between business and technology, you will translate complex needs into actionable specifications and drive functional consistency across products and teams. The role also offers the opportunity to develop towards a Product Owner position in the future.
Please note: this position is based in Lodz, Poland and is offered on an employment contract only. B2B contracts are not available.
Key Missions
- Analyse and challenge business requirements for clarity, feasibility, business value and alignment with product objectives
- Break down complex needs and use cases into structured functional solutions
- Gather, refine and validate requirements with business and technical stakeholders; facilitate workshops to resolve ambiguity and support decisions
- Translate needs into functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria, maintaining end-to-end traceability
- Model business processes, data flows and system interactions using relevant standards
- Maintain functional consistency across products and teams; identify gaps, risks and cross-team dependencies and recommend mitigation
- Assess the impact of functional changes across interconnected systems and existing capabilities
- Collaborate with Product, Architects, SMEs and Agile engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, including FRS, process-flow documents, user stories and guides
- Act as a functional expert in the Digital Identity / Proofing domain; encourage reuse and improve analysis standards and tools
- Support functional validation and acceptance to ensure delivered solutions match agreed requirements and end-to-end behaviour
Profile & Other Information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with experience structuring complex topics and proposing practical solutions
- Solid experience in requirements analysis, functional specifications and documentation, including independently leading complex analysis
- Confidence in challenging requirements, resolving ambiguity and conflicting stakeholder needs, and driving alignment
- Ability to understand end-to-end flows and functional change impacts across interconnected systems
- Experience with business process and system modelling using BPMN and UML
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluent English
- Experience in Agile environments and cross-functional collaboration
- Good understanding of REST APIs, API contracts, backend services and distributed systems, including synchronous and asynchronous interactions
- General knowledge of security, cryptography and data protection principles such as GDPR
Nice to Have
- Experience in Digital Identity, Identity Proofing or Identity Verification
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and CIBA
- Experience working on complex platforms comprising multiple products and services
